SyExpat Parser sending single character

Hi,
I am using SyExpat(Symbian-Expat) 1.95.8 to parse a XML document on symbian.
However parser sends only the first character of "TagName" to the
"StartElement"
call back.Does Anybody know , whats the issue? Plz help me out.Its urgent.
