With Java 6 there is a little more detail about the cause. The rest of the stacktrace is as in the error.txt attachment.

Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.apache.batik.dom.GenericElement cannot be cast to org.w3c.dom.svg.SVGSVGElement
