Minimum Java version

Hi All,

One of the RM notes states :-

" ..Install the Java-Version that has been agreed for compiling the
release. "

Well, this is to propose that we use JDK 1.8 as the minimum - the previous
was 1.5 which was 7 years ago, hence the jump in versions.

I do not believe we should offer support for less than 1.8, considering our
audience I think we'd be fine. Also, we are still pre 1.0 after all.

If no objections I'll proceed with 1.8 being the minimum for 0.10
