Most probably this is caused by a construct in your ref.xml file that is not 
supported by jfor.

You might want to try taking out parts of ref.xml (commenting them using <!-- 
--> for example) until you get a version that works. This would tell you 
which XSL-FO construct causes jfor to fail.

You can also post the contents of your ref.xml file here, ideally stripped 
down to the bare minimum that causes jfor to fail.
