Close Socket connection

Hi, 
I'm developing an application which has to send many requests to a 
server in PlanetLab,  but after 500 requests the server starts to 
behave in a strange way and i start getting many errors until the 
connection between the client and the server drops to almost complete 
stand still. 
Also because i have to do many requests at the same time i have to 
have many threads working at the same time about 30. 

My suspestion for this problem is that when i call XmlRpcClient 
execute method, when the method returns, the connection stays open 
which will probably make the server rejest the requests after a 
certain number.

Does anyone know if as soon as the execute method returns, the socket 
connection between the client and the server is closed or does it stay 
open??
