But the namespace spec _does_ include erratum and therefore the W3C Namespace Recommendation _does_ say that xmlns is bound to the xmlns namespace (either we like it or not!). If you feel that SAX should not comply with this change, I am OK if the SAX documentation said smth like: "it complies with the Namespace spec (excluding the erratum document that states the opposite)". I find current description deeply misleading. I also remember that some users did want to have a feature, by default it should be false but if you turn it on SAX will behave as mandated by the namespace erratum. Are there any plans to add it?
