I understand that you do not agree with the namespace erratum. But the
namespace spec _does_ include erratum and therefore the W3C Namespace
Recommendation _does_ say that xmlns is bound to the xmlns namespace
(either we like it or not!).

If you feel that SAX should not comply with this change, I am OK if the
SAX documentation said smth like: "it complies with the Namespace spec
(excluding the erratum document that states the opposite)". I find
current description deeply misleading.

I also remember that some users did want to have a feature, by default
it should be false but if you turn it on SAX will behave as mandated by
the namespace erratum. Are there any plans to add it?

Thank you,
