The bad news: not for this release.  There will always be some reason to 
hold the release back, and eventually we just have to chop the patch stream 
at an arbitrary point and say "this is a release."

The good news (or more bad news, depending on your preference): I will stick 
around for a while to get some of these new patches into the CVS after the 
release, until (hopefully) David Brownell reappears.
