help with restrict attribute value

hi there:
I am new to schematron and I am trying to validate my xml document with 
schematron only as it provides good error messages to the user.
i got one problem, in wxs its very easy to specify that this attribute should be 
type="xsd:string" but I don't know if you can do the same thing in schematron?
