Composing a schema from multiple Schematron schemas

 Just a bit delayed in getting a response back, sorry.

A question came up about adding higher-level constructs to Schematron
to allow constructing a schema from multiple individual schematron
schemas.

I want to support ISO DSDL's VCSL (Validation Candidate Selection
Language) on this (apart from adding the <library> element).  You can
see a draft (which I would judge to be 95% final, though I encourage you
all to try it and see whether it meets your needs: we need it to be 
practical!)

James implemented as part of Jing, which includes RELAX NG, Schematron
(through SAXON) and WXS (through Xerces).  His version is called
NRL (Namespace Routing Language) and springs out of Murata-san's
RELAX Namespaces filter.  It has been *specifically* designed to provide the
features needed to support RELAX NG and Schematron with requiring
us to bloat out RELAX NG or Schematron: we cannot criticize WXS for being
a Kafka-esque kitchen sink if we don't demonstrate good layering discipline
ourselves!

NRL/VCSL is really exciting because it, really allows construction of 
documents
from independent, standard schemas without having to worry (in the schemas)
about interactions.  Without it, namespace modularity is rather clunky.

I encourage innovators to whip together their own implementations. As I 
said,
we really are interested in what kind of extensions you have found 
necessary to
make Schematron workable.
