Early draft Schematron International Standard

I am not sure if I sent this out before, but there is an early draft
of the IS for Schematron available in PDF. Use the link at near the 
bottom of
the page at

This link *will* go out of date, and I will be updating it. I expect
to follow normal practise and have the final committee draft available
at a permanent location.

Also new on that page, a 1999 PDF slide "From Grammars to Schematron"
and the slides on validation from the recent Open Publishing conference.

I am very interested in getting review reaction for the draft. There 
were some parts that didn't come out: there is a better sized definition
section that didn't come out, for some reason.

Also, unrelated, I am interested in general thoughts/characterizations
people have concerning XQuery (and XPath2).  Full of sound and fury?
The new SQL? A Trojan horse for complexity and the PSVI? makes XML
useful for data? inadequate theoretical basis?  I am preparing for 
another conference presentation, but I think it directly relates to
Schematron and its future, so it is appropriate for this list.
