I joined this list a few months ago and yours is about the second
posting I've seen on it so it's not exactly humming...

About your question 2), I always used the skeleton inside
schematron-basic.xsl (it is included) rather than trying to process
against it directly...

I've tried a few different ways with no success.

3) I've looked through the archive and was a little confused on how I
can
display in my report the full path to the element or attribute.  i.e.
Instead of
This dog has a bone, it would say: AAA.BBB.CCC.Dog has a bone.

4) How do you use Schematron rules to validate your datatypes like
strings
having a certain pattern?  i.e. String can be 5 characters in length,
first two
are numbers, last 3 are letters.
