axis2?  Does that not run under tomcat then?  tomcat was the 
architectural limitation not allowing requests to be handled 
asynchronously and if axis2 uses tomcat, the same problem exists......I 
have seen soap implementation use a callback for asynchronous 
request/response but this does not work through firewalls.  Please let 
me know more here.
