Yes, this is exactly what I was looking for. <smile

The people creating the diagrams do not know XML so a generic XML editor is
not an option.

- Select the element you want to add a title to.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+x to open the XML editor.
- Click the button "New element node"
- Enter "svg:title" for the name of the new element
- Click the button "New text node"
- Enter the title text in the input pane

Is this what you were looking for? Of course, you can also do this in a
generic XML editor or a plain text editor.
