Apologies if you have already heard (or worse yet if someone already posted here - I don't think anyone did), but abstract submission is now open for the Graphical Web 2014. http://www.graphicalweb.org/2014/ This year's Graphical Web will be held In Winchester England August 27-30 and hosted by the UK's Office of National Statistics. Supporters and sponsors will include Google, the W3C and others. Previous conferences have been hosted by Google, Microsoft, Telecom Paris Tech, and others in such places as Tokyo, Paris, Mountainview, Boston and Zurich. The conference was previously known as SVG Open, but has expanded its scope to include all the synergistic relations between open source technologies for graphics on the web such as CSS, HTML5, SVG, D3, and WebGL. This year's conference will be more like the conferences of previous years, having partnered with HTML5DevConf last year in San Francisco, but going it alone once again this time, The atmosphere is generally casual and cordial with opportunities for developers of products, specs and just cool code to come together and talk about the future. We like to think that D3 got (one of) its first public airings at our conference in Boston in 2011. England is nice in August, and we'd love to have you talk about what you've been working on! The review process is competitive, but submit an abstract! Cheers David
