As you may know, The Graphical Web (previously SVG Open) is preparing for
its 11th annual conference, hosted this year by the Office of National
Statistics in Winchester England, August 27 - 30 .

https://www.graphicalweb.org/2014/

In recognition of the 25th anniversary of the World Wide Web (WebAt25)
<http://www.webat25.org/> , the conference is working with our longtime
supporter, the W3C, to especially encourage contributions that might be
appropriate to that milestone! Consistent with this year's theme of "Visual
Storytelling" we have created a category for presentations which use open
graphical standards and technologies and which present graphical
perspectives on the history, impact and/or future of the World Wide Web.

The due date for submissions of abstracts for papers, presentations, panels
and workshops/courses has, accordingly, been adjusted to accommodate this
new category of submission (to be honest, we were contemplating this
anyway!).

We have recruited an impressive group of speakers already, including Cameron
Beccario, Jason Davies, and Scott Murray with more soon to be announced.
This year, our sponsors include Google Inc. and Adobe Systems Inc. though it
is not too late for your company to join in supporting this all-volunteer,
non-profit, peer-reviewed conference!

Cheers,

David
