Hi, I’ve never noticed any problems of the sort you discuss with Safari (though I have seen lots of other problems with it!). The second and fourth examples at http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/IG/resources/svgprimer.html#examples show yellow and shapes that look just fine in my Safari for Windows (I seem to think that they worked fine too when I had an i-gadget – of course at that time Safari and Chrome were both web-kit, just aged a little differently) Perhaps you could link to a test case for us. If others can replicate the problem you’re seeing, then filing a bug report with Safari might be appropriate, though I’ve never come across the sort of problems you’re describing. In fairness I should mention that this discussion list has had its activity drop off considerably since all browsers finally started supporting SVG a couple of years ago – perhaps someone can suggest a better forum for finding more active discussion? Regards David From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Saturday, April 05, 2014 5:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [svg-developers] SVG in Chrome vs SVG in Safari Hi, when testing SVG Graphics, I'm experiencing some really annoying rendering behaviours in Safari: - It doesn't render colors the same way as Chrome. There seems to be no bright yellow at all when using #ff0, instead it shows way too dry, unsaturated colors. - Secondly, Safari seems to not anti-alias any shapes or fonts at all. That way, everything looks really ugly working with polygon shapes that aren't something simple like a rectangle. Chrom does render beatiful images with no "jaggies" at all. Is there a way to get smooth images in Safari? And how do i get better colors?
