Hi, folks–

I'd like to gauge interest from this community in helping write SVG
documentation for developers and designers at WebPlatform.org.

WebPlatform has 2 main kinds of content:
* reference pages (with details around elements, attributes, properties,
APIs, and so on)
* tutorials and guides

As we all know, SVG is (finally!) starting to be more widely used. But
the documentation on using it is still not as good as it could be, which
makes it harder for people to adopt it.

We're looking for folks to help us improve our existing reference pages
[1], to make SVG examples (both simple and more complex), and to write
tutorials and guides. Reference pages are pretty simple to make, and
only take an hour or less per page. Good tutorials and guides are harder
to write, but they also give the author a more creative voice, and have
a by-line for attribution credit. All of the content on WebPlatform.org
is under the CC-BY (Creative Commons attribution) license, so anyone can
reuse it for any project.

For the reference pages, we have a crowdsourcing effort called "Web
Platform Wednesdays", in which we select 10-20 pages that need attention
per week, and each volunteer picks one or two of those to polish up.

I figured that this would be the ideal community to reach out to,
because there are many of us here with well over a decade of experience
with SVG.

If you're interested in helping out over the next few weeks or months,
please let me know, and I'll get you started.

(Several years ago, several of us tried to improve the developer
documentation for SVG at SVG.org. Sadly, that domain name was owned by
someone outside the SVG community, and it now redirects to a different
site on a rather different topic. :P WebPlatform.org is a much better,
more lasting environment in which to concentrate our efforts.)
