I was fiddling with stroke animation and encountering terrible cross-browser
troubles

and decided it would be fun to try something like the first example. I am
sure that with a bit of thought, it can be improved. Thanks to Bruce Rindahl
for suggesting the ENTITY tag and for his cool work with declarative
planetary motion!

 

Of course It would be fun to try to peel a spectral spiral (like this one

with 10 lines of markup)
