Let's call this "The Return Of The Seasick Effect"!
You need to make sure that the tail of a cab leaves the box when the nose of the next on line enters it. For that you have to make the motion path longer (its portions). An easy way would be to double the length of the path, double the cabs, and also set negative offset for cx,cy equal to the radii + the stroke (for each cab). Then you have to re-sync the color animations. Also, I don't think that the non square viewbox helps.
