Re: interactive SMIL being dropped by CSS (and thence, presumably by all 'fringe' working groups, including SVG) FW: new feature request

This comes as little surprise to me. More evidence of how the SVG Working Group has abdicated their responsibilities.

Why use SMIL when you can accomplish the same thing in a more complicated manner? This ensures better control over the creation and presentation of data, it shouldn't be easy for just anybody to publish to the internet.
