Historically XML Commons had its own space in SVN with branches for the
different versions of XML Commons External (JAXP 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4) and the
XML Commons Resolver. I'm not sure how that got mapped to a branch or
branches of Xerces-J in GitHub.
