Hi all,
Referring to my below mail about vote for Xerces 2.12.1 release, I wish
to abort this current voting process.
I wish to address following jira bugs, and provide solution for them in
2.12.1 release,
XERCESJ-1515 : Incomplete keyrefs should not need keys (
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESJ-1515). One of the test
samples provided within this bug report, doesn't currently work fine on
Xerces's XSD 1.1 branch. That fault, might have got introduced somehow,
after the bug reporter committed the fix.
XERCESJ-1585 : Change in behavior when a keyref refers an out-of-scope
unique or key (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESJ-1585).
I apologize, if anyone has started to review the original release candidate
that I posted (https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/xerces/j/2.12.1/RC1/),
for 2.12.1 release.
After making few minor changes to Xerces code, and providing little more
explanation onto the above mentioned (and one more jira issue I guess) jira
issues, I'll work again to post a modified 2.12.1 release candidate for
vote.
I hope and expect that, I would be able to post the modified release
candidate for vote for the 2.12.1 release very soon.
I'll wait for 24 hours from now, before I commit anything new for the
modified 2.12.1 release candidate & also any new changes to the development
code that could go into the modified release candidate for 2.12.1 release.
This is in case, if anyone would like to want releasing 2.12.1 version as
per the currently made release candidate (particularly any pmc member or a
long time committer, and also if suggested by pmc chair), and suggests to
address above mentioned jira issues as part of a release beyond 2.12.1
release.
Many thanks.
