Hi Steven,

I'm currently testing the 2.6.0 snapshot (dated from 28-5-2005) on an AIX 5.2 Powerpc.
It seems to be working correctly for the features that I need (XercesDOM Parser + XSD Schema validation).
But memory leaks are always occured.

I will keep you inform of the result of my stress tests.

Cheers
Olivier

Hi Steven,

I'm sorry - the list has been almost totally silent about the
pre-release I made :-(

It doesn't seem like anyone has tested it besides Clustertech and
myself.

The only machines I have available to me are linux boxes of various
flavours.

The good news is that I solved a *lot* of ugly memory issues - some of
them to do with exceptions. Also, there were some very ugly C++ hacks
I was forced to install years back that I was able to remove in 2.6,
so now things should be much simpler. It is possible that your
exception problems on AIX are gone - but I'm afraid I can't back that
up with any real evidence. The best I can suggest is to try and see.

Snapshot later today.

Cheers,
jas.
