Hi,

Perhaps I am a bit too tired to see the obvious, but I am trying to
install xerces on a linux server. I successfully installed
xerces-c-src_2_3_0 (setting the XERCESROOT to
/home/<myarea>/bin/XML-XERCES-2.3.0-2/ ) and everything is looking in the
right place... I just don't see how to make it not want to write to the
perl5 files.

I was on the: make install command for Xerces-2.3.0-2 when it tried to
write to the perl5 files. (the install for the xerces-c-src_2_3_0 went
fine)

This is the error:
------------------
