Default language for spellchecker in ODT (Libre Office)

Hi,
We have the problem, that the language of the spellchecker in the ODT files (which are produced with xjc.jar) is changing to English after saving the file with Libre Office - although the standard language in Libre Office is German.
Is there a way to set or keep the German language setting for the spellchecker in the produced ODT files?

I think, it's a similar issue like this in the RTF:

This Thread was written in the year 2007 and Jean-Yves Belmonte of XMLmind has answered, that the properties for the language and country are would be supported in future (but not in short term).
It's a long time between 2007 and 2012. Could you give me the current state of this wish / issue?
