Version 4.8.1, which was released on February 25, 2013, that is, more 
than *5* years ago, is no longer supported.

Please give last version (v5.5) a try and if it still does not work as 
you expect it, please send us a new bug report. Please make sure to 
include all the graphics files referenced in your XSL-FO file in your 
next bug report.
