Xindice version of DatabaseManager?

Hi,

I want to use the xindice version of the collection class rather then 
the collection class from org.xmldb.api.base.Collection. However I seem 
can't find  a xindice version of the DatabaseManager Class to retrive a 
collection. Is there a xindice version of this class? If not is there 
another way to get a collection apart from using: 
DatabaseManager.registerDatabase(db); ?
