Xindice - build.sh - file missing

Hi

I've uncompressed xml-xindice-1.0.tar.gz, but the installation note says to
proceed by compiling 'build.sh' file found in xml-xindice-1.0 directory.
However, I'm unable to find that file at all. I only found, 'build.bat' and
'build.xml' files. I don't know how to proceed further without the
'build.sh' file. Here are my system specifications:

OS: RHELinux 4
Apache Tomcat Server  4.1.34
apache webserver

I downloaded the tar file from the apache website. Please help me regarding
this.
