that does not use Xerces at all

use PullParser2_1_8_X2.jar to use Xerces2.

it is implementation of XmlPull API that uses Xerces2, see:

  http://sourceforge.net/projects/xni2xmlpull/

(currently only CVS version but soon should be available
as distribution package - as soon as i write nice build.xml ...)

this is internal Xerces2 interface that gives full access to internal
Xerces pipeline. i used its pull parser configuration to do incremental
SAX-like parsing converted into XmlPull events. see
XMLPullParserConfiguration description in this document for an overview:

   http://xml.apache.org/xerces2-j/xni-config.html

XNI is still under development (changes...) hopefully stabilized by end of this year ...

it is exactly the same API and actually passes all XmlPull conformance tests

one reason to use xni2xmlpull may be if you need validation (or basically
anything that Xerces2 provides) and you are willing to work with
bigger and somewhat slower but very XML compliant implementation.

thanks,
