FWIW, I don't get that problem.  No file on my system contains the
text 'libart_lgpl_2.la'.

Is it possible that you're using a version of libgnomeprint older than
2.8.0?

Since you haven't commented on failures related to PangoPDF, it seems
that you also have PangoPDF installed.  Is that correct?

Please try the attached spec file and reply to the list (after
subscribing) about whether or not it works.
