Can't access to cvs

I'm using debian with cvs and this command :
cvs -d:pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/xmlroff login

When it's asking for password, I hit enter and after a few seconds, it's go
back to the prompt.

Any idea about something wrong in my command ?
