You possibly have a version of the GNU Autotools that does more stringent
checking than does the version that I am using.

The interesting thing is that when I do a `grep-find' to find all uses of
GOBJECT_LIBS, I do find it in two Makefile.am, but the line numbers are
different from yours.

It should be possible to delete the references to $(GOBJECT_LIBS) with no ill
effect.
