I'm afraid i have another few questions about roff.

-Is xmlroff able to produce some kind of intermediate files ?! (XEP =
produxes .xep files)=20
-Does it have a Java-Interface !?
-Is there a way to output XPS files ?!

Conformance is at http://xmlroff.org/wiki/Conformance, but it doesn't
say anything about XSL 1.1.

Also SVG output with the Cairo backend.

No.  It's not supported by the backends.

It's on the Cairo roadmap [1] for Cairo 1.12, but if you look at the
email threads to which it refers, you'll see that it's also been on the
roadmap for previous versions.
