download node-set problem from newbie

I would like to assign the results of a sorted list to a variable and do further transformations on it, so for that I assume I need the node-set function. I'm running the Debian testing version of Libxslt1.1. I am not sure about its support for exslt. I can not find neither exsl.node-set.xsl nor exsl.object-type.xsl Do I need to get this separately?
