Thanks David! It worked

Does it mean constant needs to be defined in single quotes? But at all other
places it just works fine for me. Does it mean only when doing call-template
one need to use single quote to pass constant value?

Notice "'P1D'"

My requirement is to add a day in a date. I tried as below.

<xsl:call-template name="date:add">
	<xsl:with-param name="date-time" select="$exsltDate"/> 
	<xsl:with-param name="duration" select="P1D"/>
</xsl:call-template>



The $exsltDate has value 2005-01-07. I tried some hit and trials but no
result. the call-template just returns blank. Is there any problem in
date:add template?

I properly defined name space and included the template.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
version="1.0"
	xmlns:date="http://exslt.org/dates-and-times"
		extension-element-prefixes="date">

<xsl:include href="date.add.template.xsl"/>

In the same environment I am able to date:difference successfully. Please
help its urgent.
