The xalan included with j2sdk1.4.x is somewhat outdated.Putting xalan.jar in the classpath does not work, you have to use the endorsed standartd override (see SDK doc for that).

hi,
  i'm using xalan.jar file to compile xsl file into java class file. i use j2sdk1.4.0
when i try to compile i get following error
org.apache.xml.utils.XMLChar.isValidQNAME(Ljava/lang/String);Z

what would be the problem ?
any idea.
