Hi all,
I added another, experimental service to Mappify: DBpedia / Wikipedia
entries to Topic Maps:
<http://ws.mappify.org/wp/url/>
The service takes a DBpedia / Wikipedia URL and returns a topic map
about the specified entry.
Examples:
Entry about John Lennon as CTM topic map:
<http://ws.mappify.org/wp/url/http%3A%2F%2Fdbpedia.org%2Fresource%2FJohn_Lennon?out=ctm>
Entry about Leonard Cohen as topic map using the Japanese Wikipedia URL:
<http://ws.mappify.org/wp/url/http%3A%2F%2Fja.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2F%E3%83%AC%E3%83%8A%E3%83%BC%E3%83%89%E3%83%BB%E3%82%B3%E3%83%BC%E3%82%A8%E3%83%B3>
Entry about Tom Waits with a JSON callback
<http://ws.mappify.org/wp/url/http%3A%2F%2Fde.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FTom_Waits?out=json&callback=mappified>
User may want to use Subj3ct [1] to find out the DBpedia URL for a
subject and then go with the DBpedia URL to Mappify.
The service works as the RDF2TM service but with a predefined CRTM [2] mapping.
The service is far from being finished, but you may find it already
useful or not.
Feedback. further ideas etc. welcome bla bla :)
