Greetings! I don't normally mention my own posts anywhere but I think list members may be interested in: Keeping up with the "Competition" http://tm.durusau.net/?p=1036 It is about a blog entry I ran across at the W3C. I really did think the W3C blog entry was a spoof but I mentioned an incorrect URL in it and lo it turns up this morning with a corrected URL. Probably nothing to do with me but it does show someone is maintaining it and I assume someone authorized to use it for the W3C. Long story made short, the chaos of the Web is going to be tamed by *Designated Experts* who will decide if your URIs merit registration as "well-known" URIs. Complete with a handy path extension, "/.well-known/." Do you know the Dilbert cartoon where Dogbert says: "Sometimes no snide remark seems adequate." ? This is one of those times.
