Okay *my* stylesheets may not be prepared for duplicates. ;)

Seriously: I understand your point and according to the paper,
associations must be serialized for each role player. That means, a
binary association has to be serialized twice, a ternary assoc has to
be serialized three times etc.

But I find the redundant information in a Topic Maps syntax strange
(unless it's written by a human) and you can use XPath to find
associations where a topic is involved in, even if it has no direct
association children elements.

But your point is valid as well and, according to the paper, "more" correct. :)
