I rephrase my statement to "well defined [...]" or "[...] good role types [...]"

Anyway, it seems that I misunderstood the proposal anyway. I thought
an arc would create an association with the role types "from" and
"to", but

   sean child-of john

would create the following arc (acc. to my understanding)

   arc:arc(arc:from: child, arc:type: child-of, arc:to: father)

Having said that, I have to admit that I do not understand what the
"arcs" proposal is about.

If someone would like to attach names dependend on the role type, she
does not need arcs but would use a name with the role type as scope.
