Hi everyone, Before you run away screaming "oh, no! Not him again!!" I was just hoping that someone could point me to the most recent reference point in this comparison. I've found several things of interest in this area. Most of them are old, so maybe that means that things have a stable view, but I'm not convinced I buy this. ;) I've found: http://www.garshol.priv.no/blog/173.html http://cmsmcq.com/mib/?p=64 http://topicmaps.wordpress.com/2008/05/11/topic-maps-and-the-semantic-web/ http://www.semagia.com/tr/crtm/ http://meronymy.blogspot.com/2009/03/topic-maps-vs-rdf-1-displacement.html The last one seems to summarize the key differentiation between the expressibility of the two specs through built-in mechanisms. I'm wondering if there are any other pockets of discussion that would be worth unifying around this subject. I know Kal & Graham have done some things in this area, and obviously both Lars are well represented in the above links along with Steve Pepper. Does everyone use the same mechanisms these days to support consistent mappings between the two specs? I've read all the above and much of the older literature I didn't reference, so hoping there's some good, succinct and objective commentary somewhere without veering off into "my X is better than your Y" territory. Looking forward to any pointers and thoughts you might have. Cheers, ast -- Andrew S. Townley <[email protected]> http://atownley.org
