Dear all, Indeed - we are still working on these slides. We ran out of time, and decided to send them over, and update them in the following days. With regards to the concrete answers: 1. There are mistakes in the slides: 1.1. One mistake is that the occurrence type was forgotten (this is already fixed in the next version to be sent out soon). 1.2. The slides of the typing are confusing as there are there some confusing arrows (this is also fixed in the next version). 2. With regards to the path expression direct-supertypes and direct-subtypes: the intention is that this will be used (as suggested by Robert Barta) by the authors - in order to understand how the type hierarchy is designed in the topic map. 3. I share with Robert Cerny the definition of direct subtype: Topic type A is a direct subtype of topic type B, if and only if 'A ako B' is true. With regards to the indirect subtype - I guess (correct me if I am wrong) that Robert Cerny was a bit short in his definition - as you might have X which is a direct subtype of Y1 which is a direct subtype of Y2 which is a direct subtype of Z. And then X is indirect subtype of Z as well. So: Topic type X is an indirect subtype of topic type Z, if and only if 'X ako Z' is false, but there exists a topic type Y, and 'X ako Y' and Y is a direct or indirect subtype of Z.
