You can fall back to assocs:

    t1 / tmdm:supertype-subtype(tmdm:subtype -> tmdm:supertype)

    t1 / tmdm:type-instance(tmdm:instance -> tmdm:type)

(unsure if the tmdm prefix is necessary or if TMDM is the default
namespace in TMQL)
