Hello Linda and all Quite an interesting idea you have expressed. We -- as developers of Wandora topic map application -- are ready to take actions and add this "add an arbitrary (or should I say default) association" to a topic map. Of course, default association has default type and roles, and user can always change those later on when the nature of the association is clear. I wonder if there is a published subject identifier for this kind of default association type and roles? I would love to hear also other concrete ideas about how to make topic map applications better. I am (I suppose a lot of people are) listening carefully.
