Generally, I wonder how to connect the product proxies to the taxonomy
proxies. I have to admit that I had the TMDM definition of isa [1] and
sub [2] in mind (but cited TMRM).
Imagine the T-Shirt Nike "Summer" classified as "Lifestyle Product"
(another product classified here might be some adidas sunglasses).
Lifestyle Product "captures some commonality" [1] ("some commonality": a
set of properties that hold for both, the t-shirt and the sunglasses? And
what, in contrast, constitutes a superclass?). Would you still say
- T-Shirt Nike "Summer" sub Lifestyle Product
? Not sure (need rules not feelings :-) ).
Well, I wonder what's the difference of capturing some commonality [1]
and a "more general type" [2] - or is it just transitivity and reflexivity?
Best regards,
Johannes
