Dear Durusau-san, All, I would like to say about WG3 work. 1. I expect the following standards from WG3. (1) Topic Maps Query Language Topic Maps query language is fundamental to operate topic maps. As a query language there is "tolog" and it is very good. But it is not a standard. I still want a standard of query language. Lack of resources is a big problem though. (2) Topic Maps remote access protocol It is impossible to gather all information about one subject in one topic map. Then it is natural to make topic maps distributed manner and complement each other. So I want a standard like TMRAP[1] which makes it possible to retrieve Topic Maps fragments from a remote Topic Maps server and also to modify the topic maps stored on the server. Topic Maps remote access protocol may or may not be unified with Topic Maps query language. [1] http://www.springerlink.com/content/9k30r83871571h17/ 2. Success stories should be gathered and published In order to promote Topic Maps, it is very important and useful to gather success stories and publish them. I don't think WG3 is the place to do this. I think another organization such as old SGML Open or Topic Maps user groups are needed.
