As a casual lurker … I’ve been confused by this name reuse of an open source project (markup) with a commercial product (css). It’s also a waste of bandwidth on this mailing list.
On the two names:
1)
YAML: YAML Ain't Markup Language
What It Is: YAML is a human friendly data serialization
standard for all programming languages.
Versus
2)
"Yet Another Multicolumn Layout" (hereinafter referred to as YAML) is a CSS software library that …

Yes! Or perhaps a different font usage YaML, or AML, etc….
In Wikipedia you get :
YAML (rhymes with camel) is a human-readable data serialization format that
Wikipedia would list a “specification” or “language”, but would not likely carry a explicit named product in such depth. I don’t see why “YAML: YAML Ain't Markup Language” should make any changes … and changes to it’s web site would only propagate confusion.
The "Yet Another Multicolumn Layout" should reposition themselves … it’s always going to hurt their product to have this confusion.

PS – just a random act of frustration … will go back to lurking …

How about this idea: You create a beautiful page for yaml.com<http://yaml.com/> that points people to either yaml.org<http://yaml.org/> or yaml.de<http://yaml.de/>, and I could put that content on yaml.com<http://yaml.com/> for you. Both projects should be equally represented and our YAML should be listed first."
I don't think it a terribly great idea, though certainly a nice gesture. People new to either might be confused and think the two have something to do with one another.
Have they considered `yamlcss.com? That seems like it would make the most sense.
Of course if we had a cool $500K we could buy `.yaml` and then they could have it ;-)
