libyaml-0.so.2 Not found

Hello,

I was trying to parse a simple yaml file in my ubuntu machine running
Ubuntu 12.04(32-bit) and I installed the Yaml Library. and compiled it
using gcc with -lyaml flag. But every time when I execute it, is gives the
following error :

error while loading shared libraries: libyaml-0.so.2: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory

But I checked it in my libraries and it exist there, Please help me where I
am going wrong and also is there IRC channel where I can ask for faster
help.?
