Just wanted to let everyone know the result of my test of the Google Group and its bridge to the actual mailing list. Turns out it only partially works. It appears to send out message posted via the Google Group site to everyone on the mailing list, but messages posted to the mailing list via an email client do not show up on the Google Group site. Which is a bit ironic considering the Google calls the bridge an "archive service". Since it's only a half-ass bridge, I am not sure what we should do. I could delete the Google Group and be done with it, but I have thought it a fairly convenient way to use the mailing list. I will see if I can fix the bridge, but I doubt I will be able too. I went through the same thing with the ruby-talk mailing list. There was nothing I could do to fix it, and I heard through the grapevine, it only started working again because someone at Google got wind of a lot of bitching about it. Of course, it eventually broke again and at that point I had enough and just killed it --someone else can fuss with it if it was important enough. Guess it wasn't b/c no one ever did. Anyway, I digress. Feedback welcome. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start Your Social Network Today - Download eXo Platform Build your Enterprise Intranet with eXo Platform Software Java Based Open Source Intranet - Social, Extensible, Cloud Ready Get Started Now And Turn Your Intranet Into A Collaboration Platform http://p.sf.net/sfu/ExoPlatform _______________________________________________ Yaml-core mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/yaml-core
