I'm the new maintainer for the R yaml package and it relies on libyaml as
it's library. I'm trying to get up to speed and have a few questions.

1) Are there compile flag options that change behavior of the library? If
so, how do I learn about them.
2) What's the status of moving toward yaml 1.2 support? It seems like it's
almost there.
